A few weeks ago I bought these cars in Pisa, and I plan to turn them into a fake, failed toy-line from 1981. This is going to be a lot like the Night Horses project. It's a lot of fun taking something that no one cares about (these cheap toy cars) and then giving them a back story and some more personality. This is sort of becoming a hobby of mine. One thing is coming up with a story for them that could have been the story for an early 80's line of toys. So far all I have is the name, Throttle Dukes, and the idea that they'll be racing on another planet in the not so distant future. First though, here's some of the inspiration for the project:
